EDUCACIÓN PRIMARIA
En esta etapa, nuestros alumnos comienzan a conocer la forma escrita del idioma extranjero. No obstante, en los primeros cursos la base continúa siendo fundamentalmente práctica y oral.
Seguiremos trabajando las estructuras básicas de comunicación y el vocabulario que, oralmente, aprendieron durante la etapa de educación infantil. Mientras tanto, en el desarrollo de las diferente unidades, los alumnos irán conociendo la forma escrita, así como adquiriendo el nuevo vocabulario y posteriormente las nuevas estructuras.
Unidad 1.
a) Vocabulario:
• Adjectives, Activities, Food, Animals, Chores.
• School subjects: English, Science, Maths, Geography, History, English, Art, Music. PE, IT.
• Leisure activities: skiing, skateboarding, chatting on the messenger, meeting friends, dancing, drawing, shopping.
• Adjectives: friendly, patient, helpful, generous, bossy, forgetful, boring, bad-tempered.
b) Estructuras:
• What languages can you speak?
• What does… look like?
• How often do you…?
• I like… / I don’t like…
• What are you good at?
• I’m not good at / OK at / good at…
• I like… / I don’t like…
• He likes / He doesn’t like…
• Do you like + gerund?
• Does he / she like…?

Unidad 2.
a) Vocabulario:
• Weekend activities: Watch TV / a football match, stay at home / at a friend’s, play basketball / on the computer, listen to music / to the radio, help your mum / dad, talk on the phone / to a friend, walk in the park / the dog, tidy your bedroom / the living room.
• Past tense: went, read, wrote, wore, had, bought, did, saw.
b) Estructuras:
• What did you do at the weekend?
• I watched a film.
• She played basketball.
• I didn’t watch a film.
• They didn’t stay at home.
Unidad 3.
a) Vocabulario:
• Body: arm, elbow, wrist, hand, finger, leg, knee, ankle, toe, head, shoulder, stomach, hip, back.
• Ailments: headache, earache, stomach ache, toothache, cold, cough, temperature, flu.
b) Estructuras:
• You must drink water.
• You mustn’t take aspirin.
• You can visit friends.
Unidad 4.
a) Vocabulario:
• Places: town, city, village, country, house, flat, castle, office, factory, shop, farm.
• Family: grandparents, parents, aunt, uncle, cousins.
• Jobs: pop star, actor, actress, teacher, detective, artist, football player, politician.
b) Estructuras:
• Were you good at Art?
• Were you tall?
• Did you live in a city?
Unidad 5.
a) Vocabulario:
• Food: crisps, peanuts, sweets, popcorn, biscuits, a packet of (biscuits), a loaf of (bread), a can of (cola), a bottle of (milk), a tin of (peaches), a bar of (chocolate), a jar of (jam), a kilo of (apples).
• Places: the cinema, the theatre, the funfair, the shopping centre, the sports centre, the zoo.
• TV: a game show, a film, a cartoon, a soap opera, the news.
b) Estructuras:
• I’m going to buy a book.
• He’s going to watch TV.
• I’m not going to swim.
• She’s not going to sing.
• Are you going to play?
• Is he going to write?
Unidad 6.
a) Vocabulario:
• Solar system: planet, moon, ring, sun, galaxy, universe, scientists, test, astronaut, rocket, thousand, million.
• Planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune.
b) Estructuras:
• Jupiter is bigger than Earth.
• Neptune is colder than Earth.
• Jupiter is the biggest planet.
• Neptune is the coldest planet.
Unidad 7.
a) Vocabulario:
• Transport: a bike, a motorbike, a horse, a camel, an elephant, a plane, a helicopter, a balloon, a car, a bus, a train, a boat, a lorry, a van, a jeep, a raft, a canoe.
• Prepositions: up, down, round, across, along, through, over, under.
b) Estructuras:
• At two o’clock I was driving a car.
• At eight o’clock he was flying a plane.
• Were you driving a van?
• Was she flying a helicopter?
Unidad 8.
a) Vocabulario:
• Animals: red wolf, brown deer, black bear, morpho butterfly, spider monkey, armadillo, rhino, mountain gorilla, African elephant, African tiger, giant panda, snow leopard, Siberian tiger, koala bear, kangaroo, emperor penguin, killer whale.
• Habitat / Food: rainforest, wood, savannah, insects, grass, meat, fruit, fish.
b) Estructuras:
• The koala lives in Australia.
• It eats leaves. It doesn’t eat fruit. It has two babies.
• What does a… eat?
• How long does a… live?
• How many babies does a… have?
• No, never.
